If you are cooking at home, pasta is a quick and easy option for lunch or dinner. There are so many Pasta recipes but here, I am sharing my favorite recipes that I make quite often. These easy pasta recipes are really delicious, and when you cook at home food are healthier than restaurants.
It doesn’t matter if you live alone or with your partner or you have children or a big family, these recipes are perfect to cook anytime you feel like.
So now, let’s get to the recipes.
1. Spaghetti Carbonara
Ingredients
- 1 lb spaghetti
- ¼ ltr milk
- 50 gm cheese
- ½ tsp oregano
- 20 gm bacon, thinly sliced
- 10 gm flour
- 20 gm butter
- 2 tbsps olive oil
- Salt & pepper to the taste
Instructions
- Heat the pan and add butter & oil (50/50).
- Add flour and stir.
- Add milk and keep stirring.
- Add a little amount of grated cheese.
- Add salt, pepper, and oregano.
- When the mix is thick, stop stirring and turn off the heat.
- Boil spaghetti in salt water for 10 minutes.
- Drain out the water and mix little oil.
- Deep fry the bacon.
- Heat the pan and add butter.
- Add the sauce prepared before, add the fried bacon and spaghetti.
- Add salt & pepper according to taste.
- Garnish with the grated cheese.
2. Spaghetti w/Mushrooms & Garlic
Ingredients
- ½ cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/8 tsp dried red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2/3 lb mushrooms (slide)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 3 tbsp chopped flat-leaf parsley
- ¼ tsp fresh-ground black pepper
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti in boiling water until its al dente.
- Heat the sauté pan, add the olive oil.
- Add the minced garlic when the oil is heated.
- Add the mushrooms and sauté for a while until they turn brown.
- Add salt, black pepper and dried red pepper flakes (optional) to your taste.
- Toss in the al dente spaghetti.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
3. Spaghetti w/Garlic & Prawns
Ingredients
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 3-4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 6-7 prawns, cleaned and cut in half (vertically)
- 2 tbsps olive oil
- 20 gms butter
- Parsley for garnish
- Salt, pepper & red chili powder
Instructions
- Boil spaghetti in salt water and a bit of olive oil.
- Heat the pan; add butter & olive oil.
- Add sliced garlic and chili powder.
- Add prawns and stir-fry.
- When prawns are golden brown, add the boiled spaghetti.
- Add salt & pepper to the taste.
- Garnish with parsley.
4. Fettuccine Alfredo
6. Broccoli Pesto Pasta
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cup Pasta (your choice, I used Penne)
- 1.5 cup Broccoli florets (boiled)
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1/2 cup Basil leaves
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 4-5 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (grated)
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Boil the water, add a bit of oil and add pasta. Cook it until al dente.
- Add the boiled broccoli florets, garlic, basil, lemon juice, olive oil, parmesan and salt to the food processor. Purée it until smooth.
- After pasta is cooked, save a cup of pasta water and drain the rest. Keep the pasta in the same pot or transfer it to another pan.
- Add the pesto and toss the pasta around. Add the pasta water as required (if the pasta looks dry).
- Garnish with grated cheese and serve.

These are some of my favorite pasta recipes. You can use whichever kind of pasta you want or like. I mostly use penne and spaghetti.
And instead of eating out, I love to cook at home. Not everybody likes to cook. Even if you don’t like cooking at home, you should.
